Team Ignite was formerly known as Nitro Racing. As Nitro Racing, we became the 2024 Canadian Checkpoint Champions and later on the Canadian National Champions.

After winning the National Championship, we qualified for the 2025 STEM Racing World Finals. We worked all summer preparing for the competition, but as a public school, we did not have enough funding to participate. In the end, our senior members went off to university, and the team went through a restructuring and rebranding.
